Don't go thinkin' we're up to nothing
Yesterday we did a great photo shoot for album cover/press photos. Thanks so much to everyone who helped. Amy Chance & Jay (the owner of Good Form, the sickest salon ever) really did a number on making my hair and face look much better than it did before they got there. Andrew Gura took some sweet shots.
Due to fucked up beyond belief circumstances we are losing a lot of money and having to spend a lot on building a new studio. Remember the old Donation button? I hate to ask for more when you’ve already helped get this album recorded. We are in the middle of mixing and just got reamed. But the album is 3/4 done and will be finished if it kills me, which it might, and I don’t mind.
There are a couple items on eBay for you to peruse. Email any special requests.

With one song per every year it’s been since we released “Hearts and Unicorns” it will be available wherever EP’s are sold and on Amazon.com and Itunes, so fear not people who live in other countries or just enjoy online shopping and/or receiving mail, you too can get your very own copy of the Swan Song EP.
Have you ever not taken a shit for over two years?! Well I imagine on Feb. 16th when this EP peeks it’s little brown head out of the delivery truck’s butthole and makes a splash into the toilet bowls of retail (not that any store selling our EP is “shitty”) that’s the relief the release would feel like. I, being a lady and all, do not make bowel movements (once every few months I go to the doctor and he takes tweezers and pulls a glittery little box with a pink ribbon out of my belly button and throws it in the trash) but I’ve heard all about it and I’ve been very mentally constipated and swollen with the urge to let you hear my shit.
You can pre-order it on Amazon.com and feel a small bout of the constipation I speak of.
More excitement to come but for now I think that’ll do.
Oh wait, Audrey re-did our myspace page and put a mailing list sign-up button on Giant Drag’s facebook (she’s trying to put one on myspace as I type) so please to visit and give us your email. I promise from here on out we will not only send out emails to those special people on our mailing list but in the future there will be beneficial one’s when there is a show or something special that will involve contests with prizes. December Update
Sorry about the lack of news, I’ve been holed up in various studios making music just about every day. Today I got to do something different (check out my twitter account twitter.com/anniehardy for a video) and that was awesome and fun! Everything is going great & I think the album is coming along quite well. I hope you’ll all be stoked, especially after the long wait. Speaking of long waits, I just discovered people have been donating to the Giant Drag Relief Fun and requesting a signed copy of Hearts & Unicorns. That was kind of an offer that stood for a limited time, like months ago when we did the last Ustream broadcast but I will try my best to get those out to you but please don’t send anymore donations that request stuff until further notice, I may be running out of CD’s plus shipping & handling isn’t cheap (I’m talking to you, not America) so I’m gonna get Audrey over here Saturday and see what the deal is and how many requests there are.
If you really want something special I advise you go to the Giant Drag eBay mart and bid on a Giant Drag “personal massager” (which is code word for vibrator) because they’re super limited edition. We’re talking 5 in existence here people. If you want a link or picture of this wonderful creation check my afore mentioned twitter account or the ebay.

FYI- Shows cancelled
People keep asking if we are playing Detroit bar this week and the answer is NO, unfortunately. All 3 shows we had set up were cancelled cuz the drummer of The Charlatans hurt his arm. We are very sorry about all this. I’m having some sciatic nerve issues myself so we are doing what we should be doing: finishing the songs for the new record & going in the studio Sept. 30th. The Swan Song EP art is taking forever due to us not knowing how to make this new eco friendly packaging look cool but it should be out soon.
In the mean time why not scroll down on this page and check out our video for “Stuff to Live For” because it rules and I don’t know why people aren’t shitting in their pants about it. Did I get tortured for no reason? I never LOVE anything like I love this video so watch it and love it or suffer the consequences.
So yeah, no shows. very sorry. watch the video. its cool.
